Gooby Gooby Gooby

This translates into Scooby Doo.  All things Scooby Doo.  Jac-is-obsessed-with-Scooby-Doo.  He wakes up saying Gooby Gooby Gooby.  He has full blown meltdowns if Gooby Gooby Gooby isn't on the television.  He loves Gooby Gooby Gooby.

We weren't fully made aware of this obsession until one night in the cracker aisle at the WalMart.  We were not leaving that aisle until he got what he wanted.  At that time the rolling "Gooby Gooby Gooby" did not translate into Scooby Dooby Doo!

This game is in pieces all over our house.  Shaggy and Scooby have even made it to the tub toybox!

Gotta love the Gang!

We Gotta Get Out of This Place

I miss some aspects of my past. Not that I was a social butterfly or the life of the party. I miss a Bunko group. I miss Happy Hour. I miss activity. I miss lunch with friends.
People don't play. People don't drink--in public. People stay home. There are no lunch spots.
When you join a church...when Drew starts school...
Been there, done that. Nothing. That's what I'm up to. Nothing.

I Want Candy

...or cupcakes!!! Cue the song. Drew and Jac loved the cupcakes that Hailey, Jason, and Mac brought over tonight. Cookie Dough on the bottom. I maybe ate two...okay I finished each of the boys! (& I didn't eat my own....self control people!)

Snow

It snowed Saturday! It wasn't enough to really stick, but it was pretty watching it fall.

You gotta be kidding me

Other titles that would work: what the hell, small town love, never ever ever....
We had a shooting at our courthouse on Wednesday. A shooting. In this small little town. The town that neighbors "the prettiest town in Dixie" (obviously Sherman skipped the Lowcountry when he made this comment). I'll have to do a special post on all the craziness that has happened in this small town...all the titles above fit-ha!

But really...a shooting. Was the baby momma that bad?! To top it off I Was at the office ALONE. I heard the shots and found out that The gunman was headed towards Pageland. pageland--where ALL the lawyers and judges were attending a funeral....I really was scared that that was his next stop! I was able to talk to Trey to tell him what was going on. I called Kayla and told her to lock the door to the house!

Since we don't have a gourmet store to shop in--and from my previous post you see how motivated I am to shop--we headed to Matthews NC for a little Italian.

M.O.T.Y.

Why am I mother of the year? Because we've been out of bread since last week--had to send my child with leftover chicken nuggets for lunch on Monday; Tuesday and Wednesday he gets lunch at school. Still, I had to rush to the gas station Thursday morning to get this. Why the gas station--because I live in a small town and the grocery store is open 9-9!

Drew's Party (Hopefully)

I have a confession.  Drew's going to be 5 this year and I've never thrown him a birthday party.  They scare me.  Have you seen the pictures of these parties.  Do I need to go to the bank this year and take out a loan.

Year 1
His birthday fell on or around Easter=easy out
We celebrated his birthday at my Aunt DeeDee and Uncle Paul's house on IOP with my cousins=built in party with the Henrikson's, Bilodeau's, and Puckhaber's

Drew's not to sure about this cake thing.

You mean this whole cake is for me?

Momma gets the boy started.

Now he gets it!

Blake, Emma, Drew, Meghan, Andrew

Year 2
Trey's law school class had a reunion=Celebrate in Houston with the Cockrell's, Hannah's, Neff's, and Pesek's

Notice the struggle to get to the cake:)

Matthew is having the time of his life!

Drew teaching Mammaw how to eat cake.

Now it's time for presents!

Year 3
Momma is 8 months pregnant=take a 16 hour road trip to Crockett, Texas to avoid throwing a party.  See Thomas the Train in Rusk, Texas.

Back at the Ranch and it's time for cake!

Year 4
Drew just started 3K mid-March.  I sent really yummy cupcakes from Fresh Market for his party at school and bought him this great Trampoline that was put together when he got home.

Year 5
You can see the countdown on the sidebar.  Drew has been talking about his birthday since October.  No pressure for Momma here!  I'm thinking pirate is the way to go.  He loves Jake and if I can get my act together it could be fun!

All these ideas are from Pinterest.  I probably should credit these more = things to think about in the future as I blog more:)

Cute invite ideas:

Games:

There will have to be at least one bouncy house!

Food and Drinks:

Gotta get to work.  Really, work like 9-5, not work like on this party:)
