Myrtle Beach Days

With no water! Sunday we headed to the beach to see two of Trey's clients. We were very excited to be there! The boys and I me up with Linsey while Trey worked. It was a long day-but a productive and fun day.
Here are the boys riding the rides at the outlets.

Designer Decisions....

I want a new handbag. When I spend this amount of $$$ I want to make sure I love what I buy.

A personal shopper might save me time and money!

Success

I mastered 9 miles on the treadmill at the Y today! For the second day in a row I was walking out the door as they turned the lights off! I'm hoping to get 10-13 miles on the pavement tomorrow. Hopefully the weather will cooperate!

Beauty Products I Love-Part II

I don't have the perfect routine.  I go to bed with my makeup on.  I go to work without makeup on.  I don't know how to put makeup on.  Get the picture.

Right now, these are the products I'm using.

In high school through college I had acne.  I tried everything to make it go away.  One thing I remember is that the Dermatologist had me use this cleanser and I like it.  I just wish it came in a different bottle for traveling.

I picked this up mid November.  I don't really think it works that well--I still have redness around my nose.

When I went to the Dermatologist and wanted Botox, this is what he gave me.  Not a quick fix, but I do see where plenty of others have this in their routine.  I don't use it every night but I can see a difference.

For the nights I don't use the Kinerase I use this cream.  Oil of Olay has been out for so long-how can it not work with it's shelf life.

I'm lazy when it comes to my appearance.  In the morning I throw some of this on my face.

Maybe it's overkill-but then I put this on my face.  Maybe if I got more sleep and drank more water my skin wouldn't look so dull.

This is a must for the under-eye circles. Not real sure what the bottom half is for--but I throw it on as well.

I am using this right now--I think I like the Neutrogena brand better, but I won't waste:)

I LOVE THIS!!!  But in the future I will just purchase the blush.  Drew and my stick products=DISASTER.  Powder=Safe.  Stick=all over the house.

Might be overkill but I use this as well.  See the confusion with the overkill.

I haven't found a mascara that I love--so this is the one in my bag this month.

I REALLY need to get a makeover.  I REALLY don't have time to get to Charlotte and get a makeover.  I would love some different eye shadow options.  I would love to get formula that matches my skin tone.  So I'll keep winging it for now.  I'm about to jump on the online ordering bandwagon-I just don't have three hours to spend in a car for an hour of shopping.

And, no there is no picture.  Hair hasn't been washed in three days!

Beauty Products I Love

I love to get pedicures. I don't have time to get pedicures. At the start of sandal season I use to make myself get one-but it didn't happen in 2012. I had my first 13.1 in May so I used that as an excuse not to get one...
Let's not even discuss my fingernails. The only time I ever maintained them was when we first got engaged---too much maintenance.
This year I did become a big fan of Essie polishes. My first purchase was in Chicago-turquoise and Caicos. I then had to get Aruba blue for the Chesterfield Rams football season. I just bought Big Spender and love it too!!!
I'm ready for sandal season again!

Last Night in Nola

After the seminar we both crashed in the room. So much for sightseeing! The power nap was obviously needed. We headed across the street to Harrah'a Casino and gambled. We didn't blow the boys inheritance--but I can totally see how it can be done. Then we went to Chophouse for dinner. We shared a lump crabmeat appetizer. I had a house salad and Trey had a Caesar salad--complete with anchovies. For our entrees I had a Delmonico Steak -Trey had Lobster tails. We shared mushrooms and onions. The service wasn't great--our side came out half way through dinner. And we were charged for an appetizer we didn't have. Crazy.

Here's what I wore last night:

Dinner and a Parade

After the seminar we went to the hotel to recharge. Then we headed out to explore and grab a bite to eat.

We stumbled upon a Pardi Gras parade. So much fun!

We ate at Ralph and Kacoo's for dinner. I didn't get any pictures of the food. We had a fried trio appetizer-shrimp, crawfish and gator-and fried green tomatoes with crab meat. For dinner I had an amazing salad with shrimp, crawfish and crab. Trey had blackened redfish. For dessert Trey had cheesecake with praline sauce and I had a glass of wine (and a few bites of cheesecake).

We had no trouble sleeping last night!

I need a NAP

Trey and I are at the AAJ Social Security Success! Seminar in New Orleans. I got up at 6 and ran 4 miles on the treadmill. We are not staying at the hotel where the seminar is being hosted but it is a quick walk.

We headed to the French Quarter for lunch. We had yummy crawfish beignets for an appetizer. I had red beans and rice for lunch and Trey had a sampler of three dishes.

Christmas Pictures

Drew had a Christmas program on December 23, 2012.  I tried to get both boys to take a picture...obviously this didn't occur.  Jac wouldn't cooperate.  Notice the binky--it's in 99.9% of the photos that are taken.

Drew wearing his "backpack" in front of the Christmas Tree.

Jac wouldn't cooperate at church or at home.  Here he his--not behaving!

No binks in these photos because there is food close at hand!

You can't see Drew very well-but he's up there.

After church we loaded up for the quick SIXTEEN HOUR DRIVE to Crockett!  Merry Christmas!
