Oh the Places You Will Go

I grew up in what  I thought was a small little town.  I attended a small little school from First Grade through Eighth Grade.

Then I moved on over to the "Big School".

When I was in school I was in Honor Classes.  I was on the yearbook staff.  I was in the Honor Society.  I babysat for spending money.  I felt like I had a life and the effort I was making would help me later in life.
Which prepared me for this:

College was fun.  College was educational.  Maybe I have that mixed up....
Sometimes I wonder how things would have turned out differently if I had attended a school with a little bit of this:

When I graduated from college I thought I had it all figured out.  I went to work here:

Which only lasted a year and was NOT the best experience.  I did learn a few things, but I feel like the entire experience has "hurt" my career path.  I thought I knew what I wanted---to work in the financial industry and this job seemed so perfect---it wasn't.  So I left.  I ended up here:

Which has caused an addiction to all things like this:

Then I tried this for a few years:

Which has caused an addiction to all things like this:

I moved to Columbia in 2005.

I bought my first house.

I tried underwriting for a year.

I tried customer service for a year.

Then I did this:

Which lead to me working here:

I'm not going to tell a lie.  I don't love this job.  I didn't love any of my other jobs.  I don't know what I want to do when I grow up.  Any suggestions?

Quick Trip

Saturday Trey went to Miami for the AAJ Winter Convention, so the boys and I headed out for a quick trip.  And by quick trip I don't mean:

We headed down I95 to visit Kiki...while daddy's away momma heads home!

We didn't get on the road Saturday until noon..well it was really like 1--after I filled up the gas guzzler Suburban--and realized that Jac's medicine was still at home in the refrigerator!

First stop - after I realized that Drew was no longer wearing clothes "my underwear got a little wet"--and the next exit--to be more specific the Point South exit which is the exit we take---was too far for him to make--was the side of I95.  No photos of this fabulous event--but I was praying for an eighteen wheeler to not hit my car on the side of the road and for Drew to hurry up!!!

Next stop--for refueling and getting a little energy out!

We quickly got outta there after these military brats kids trampled my little precious Jac.  Playground was a little too rough for this Momma.

After we got to Kiki's we headed for a walk on the Spanish Moss Trail that runs through the neighborhood.  I got to play on the railroad tracks when I was little--now there is this gorgeous trail!
At the water we met some girls who gave Drew one of these:

And let him "see and touch" one of these:

Everyone slept real well Saturday night!   Sunday we had a lazy morning--I went for a 5 mile run.  Then we headed downtown to eat at Panini's followed by playing at the Water Front Park.

We couldn't leave town without a trip here:

We didn't get home until 8:30 Sunday night...Not the best planning on my part for a smooth transition into the week.  Who doesn't enjoy a trip home!

Reality

Back to life...back to reality. I had an awesome weekend away. Sushi for dinner on Thursday, wine and campfire on Friday, shopping in Saturday. I missed my boys but know that I needed this time to myself. I'm so glad I have good friends to visit!
The SuperBowl is on. The laundry is calling my name. Off to bed for me so I can have a good rest to start off my week.

Gotta run

Momma's got new shoes. Mizuno Wave Rider 16. LOVE!

Momma needed a time out. So I drove down to Charleston for a girls weekend with my dear friend Jennifer. Yesterday we did a little shopping and last night we did a little of this:

Crazy Boy

Drew likes to help. He insists on helping. Even if the task is too difficult for his four year old self. That's why he has three blisters on his pinky from helping Mrs. Tammy!
